Description
We don’t just expect you to take our word for it when it comes to the quality of our products. These 12 cm by 20 cm samples are designed to help you see and feel it for yourself. They’re small enough to be moved around the room, so you can test them against different lights and backdrops, but large enough for you to really see the grain, colour and overall aesthetic. You could even cut them down to use as coasters afterwards!

Installation Guide
What You'll Need
- Adhesive (we recommend our SlatWall Adhesive)
- Screws and wall plugs (for additional security)
- Spirit level, tape measure, pencil
- Mitre saw or circular saw (for cutting)
Installation Steps
- Prepare the wall — ensure the surface is clean, dry and flat. Plasterboard, brick and concrete are all suitable substrates.
- Plan your layout — measure and mark the wall. We recommend starting from the centre and working outwards for a balanced look.
- Apply adhesive — apply a generous zigzag of adhesive to the back of the panel.
- Fix to wall — press firmly into position. Use screws at the top and bottom for additional security (screw heads will be hidden by adjacent panels).
- Continue fitting — panels interlock. Ensure felt strips align for a seamless finish.
Cutting
Panels can be cut to size using a mitre saw or circular saw. Always cut with the veneer face up to avoid chipping.
Tips
- Acclimatise panels indoors for 48 hours before fitting
- Leave a 2mm expansion gap at edges where panels meet walls or ceilings
- For corners, use our Corner Trim accessories for a clean finish

What size are SlatWall panels?
Width= 600mm x Height= 2400mm or 3000mm x Thickness 21mm
How do I install SlatWall panels?
All of our wall panels are easily installed by bonding them straight to the wall with our grab adhesive! Apply firm but even pressure whilst the adhesive starts to set, and then you’re good to go! If the installation isn’t full height, we recommend ordering one of our top trims to ensure a smooth finish. These can be applied using the same grab adhesive and technique as the panels.
How do I cut SlatWall panels?
We recommend marking them up with a soft pencil mark, and then using a fine-toothed hand saw to cut them to size! If you need to slice through the felt, do so vertically with a sharp utility knife.
How many SlatWall panels do I need?
Every project is unique, but the following steps should get you well on your way! 1- Measure the height of your wall. This will tell you whether you need to be looking at our 2.4m panels (if your wall is up to 2.4m tall), or our 3m ones (if your wall is more than 2.4m tall). 2- Measure the width of your wall, and make sure to note whether you’re measuring in mm, cm, metres or inches! 3- Divide your width by the width of our panels! This is 0.6m (or 60cm, 600mm or 23 inches). 4- Round up the result to find out how many panels you need.
Can I install SlatWall panels on top of wallpaper?
Yes! Though which install method we’d recommend depends on how secure the existing coverings are. If the existing wall paper is loose, peeling or similar, use the supplied screws to fix the panels to the wall. This will ensure the panel stays secure regardless of the state of the wallpaper. Alternatively if the wallpaper is secure and you’re happy it’s still well bonded to the wall, you can install the panels with grab adhesive using the same technique as anywhere else!
Can I install SlatWall panels near a radiator, cooker or fireplace?
We recommend keeping the panels at least 45 cm away from any direct heat source, like an open flame or gas fire. However, it's safe to install our SlatWall Acoustic panels near a radiator. They can handle high temperatures, and radiators typically emit lower heat than gas fires. Just make sure the radiator there is a gap for ventilation - the radiator should never directly touch the panel.
Can I install SlatWall panels in wet areas?
For best results, install SlatWall panels in dry areas with low humidity and no water exposure. If you're dealing with high humidity or direct water contact, opt for our SlatWall Waterproof panels instead.
How do I clean SlatWall panels?
Use a soft brush nozzle to vacuum and wipe the panels with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners and chemicals for best results.
